Meet Our Staff

Our staff has changed some over the past few months. We ALWAYS CHALLENGE each other and NEVER AGREE on EVERYTHING but we have found our one true common love in addition to Jesus…… cheesecake.

James Barr, Director of Group Ministries

April 2017 Staff Update: We welcome our newest staff member, James Barr, as the Director of Group Ministries. James develops on-ramps for people to encounter the good news about Jesus and apply it to their lives. He has started numerous small groups and outreach Bible studies that invite his friends and neighbors to consider the claims of Christ in the context of life changing community. James launched a Young Life ministry at his local middle school and has most recently served as the Teaching Pastor at Crossroads Community Church in Severn, MD.

James and his wife Cindy live in Elkridge with their three children: Emily, Stephen, and Julia.

He has indicated that he DOES actually enjoy cheesecake and so that makes him a perfect fit for our crew. Welcome James!
